I have had the same difficulty with the modification as others. I was told what I needed to furnish in degrees, not knowing what to fax all at once. Each time I faxed I found there was something I didn't know I needed to fax or a different version. When I would call and inquire, no one could give me any information except some of the faxes had been received and it was being reviewed. No one would contact me, I was told. This was several months ago and I still have heard nothing and know not how to find out anything. I have to conclude that once again, my mortgage is not being handled in good faith on the other end and I am now quite frankly after the way I have been dealt with to date, I think I would be afraid to sign anything else with them as I know in the long run it would be another run around that would in fact cost me more in the long run. I have not head problems with payments being credited or rejected - only the obvious lack of information regarding the modification that was supposedly being reconsidered. All I can say is buyer beware. I am 64 years old hoping to have a roof over my head when
OMG! I am in the same position and I thought it was just me. I don't know what to do or where to go. I am working with a Modification company but seem to be getting nowhere fast. Litton won't work with me and they have continued with foreclosure though they knew we were working out a modification. Now the modification company is telling me that with Obama's new plan that Litton has to review my case so now everything is on hold - HELLO? My home is going on the auction block if someone doesn't help me. Nobody here will even touch my loan because of our credit, Litton won't take a partial payment of the past due balance - they want it all or nothing, and the hole just keeps getting bigger and deeper. I need help. I will do anything to keep my home for my kids. Why can't anyone help me?
We all need to get together to sue this company. None of us will get anywhere doing it on our own, but together we can win! Best case, get our money back. Better case, get our money back AND put them out of business. Worst case, cost them a lot of $$ defending themselves and getting them well-deserved bad publicity. Is anyone with me???
I'm trying to get them to call back because I'm trying to do a short-sale. I've faxed everything over. They've not acknowledged my fax, no notes are on my account, no one will call me back, and now I got a letter saying I didnt call them! I was thinking about their modification, but now I'm thinking they can have the house! I've been stuck with everything since my divorce, so right now I'm about ready to give up! I feel your pain.
Litton Loan is the worst mortgage lender in the world. They need to be sued for fraud & what ever else you can think of. Their customer service is a joke. I'm in a bankruptcy. I need to get a verification of mortgage. So I can refinance my house. Litton won't give me what I need in a timely manner.
Litton Loan Service is an unethical, uncaring company whose goal is to take your money and . They are liars and are all about the mighty dollar. They sold our condo right from under us, all of the time telling us that we were in the process of a "modification".. I have never in my life felt so humiliated!!!! By the time I found out what was going on, our house had been sold. I am so tired of hearing, "this is happening to everyone". I think that there are situations where this does not have to happen but someone is trying make some extra "quick" cash. What happened to the $1800 that we sent in for the modification? I'm sure no one cares because, "it's happening to everyone".
My loan that was originally with Fremont was just recently sold to Litton Loans. All of a sudden they want us to pay a year in advance for our escrows. I don't even know if that is legal to do. We consulted with this company HomeSaverProgram.org and spoke to one of their attorney's. They took our case and put a stop on these predatory lender. I highly suggest if you are in some kind of mortgage problem, specially with Litton Loan. Contact this company. Michelle who was assigned to our case was super friendly and made sure we were being helped.
As a MM Consultant, (at the MM Center) the modifyinfo.com comment is right. We hear these stories everyday! I am so sorry that you (or anyone) have gone thru this. It makes me sick and that is why I chose to consult and help hurting homeowner’s through this difficult process. The thing that the homeowner doesn’t understand is that when you negotiate a mortgage modification with your current lender, most of the time you are negotiating with an entry level employee or you might get a manager. We at the MM Center have developed relationships with key decision makers at most all of the banks and financial institutions through out the nation. You as a consumer, (and please don't take offense to this) will not come in contact with these decision makers. We go right to that key person, (by contacting them on their direct, private line) and we know ahead of time what they are looking for to modify your loan. We have over an 85% success rate of modifying your loan. It doesn’t cost you anything to get pre-qualified and we will let you know within a 24 hour period. We are an honest, ethical company and our top priority is your interest, PERIOD! You need to hire an incorruptible, licensed consultant with many years in the mortgage / finance business. Think of when you purchased your home, did you secure the mortgage all by yourself? If you have any questions, I will be more than happy to assist. Toll FREE @ 866-780-5901

We're hear these stories EVERY DAY! Almost all the lenders are playing hard ball with their customers. The best way to get a fair deal is hire the pro's. As seen on KCRA3 Sacramento, News10 Sacramento and NPR radio BBC. The Mortgage Modification Center in Stockton,CA...visit ModifyInfo dotcom
You can't represent yourself when dealing with mortgage / servicing companies. It's like the old saying " he who represents himself has a fool for an attorney". Even if you successfully negotiated your own modification, you probably won't get nearly as good of a deal if you hired a professional would. At AMA we know the mortgage/ servicing company's are looking for and have the key contact people to access. Don't get me wrong it's still a battle...but...what you save in aggravation & time in addition to the best possible settlement could be woth hundreds of thousands of dollars to you ...NOT TO MENTION YOU 631-979-3930 x218
I have an amazing relationship with Litton. I send my work to a person other than the regular fax number and can get a short sale done in about 2 months.
